Come Sunday night when Al Gore lumbers up to the stage to collect the Oscar for his sci-fi thriller "A Convenient Lie," one question will be going through my mind: "Hey Al, how'd you get there?"
Once a year, my small mountain community has its County Fair. I stuff myself for two days content in the knowledge that there are no calories in fair food.
Is that how it is with global warming fanatics? Are there no emissions in the fossil fuels expended to get people to the events that warn other people about the dangers of global warming? Or does the man who says that global warming is a greater threat than terrorism, along with his fellow alarmists, simply get a pass?
That's how it is with elitists. With them, it's always do as I say, not as I do. Al Gore can fly all over the world, spewing emissions into the air with impunity, and that's okay. But he and his fellow global warmers are going to do everything they can to make it harder for us ordinary folks to drive to the stores to get food and clothing for our families.
Global warming is simply the first step to the socialist/communist utopia envisioned by the purveyors of this tripe. When every nation on the planet is reduced to third-world status because of the "need" to end global warming, then we'll all be equal. Won't that be grand. One of the problems with that, though, is that there will always be those who are more "equal" than others. When we're doing without, they won't be. And, they won't see anything wrong with this because they're the anointed and their needs must be met.
Another problem with that theory is that when there's an underclass, there is rebellion. But since they will have already taken away our guns, they're not worried about that.
