We were told that the most recent suicide bombers in Iraq were two women with Down's Syndrome. Now comes word that the head of the mental hospital that provided care for these women may have provided them to al qaeda for this purpose. Why not. It's not like they had any value.
This is what Best of the Web Today had to say about it: "We are at a loss for words to characterize the depth of this evil."
Ditto.
Meanwhile, here in America, the grossly overpaid people who are supposed to be looking out for best interests are, instead, looking into steroid/HGH use in baseball. Words fail me.
Those who are actually doing something that remotely resembles looking out for our best interests are either whining about waterboarding or debating amongst themselves about FISA. Again, words fail me.
What is it going to take for these people to get a clue? Will a mushroom cloud have to appear somewhere over a city? Will gas or chemical WMD have to be used in a subway? Will more planes have to be flown into more buildings? What exactly is it going to take?
I've pretty much had it up to my eyeballs with the simps on both the Left and the Right who demand that we keep ourselves above the fray. (Hello, we're already in the fray.) Under no circumstances must we ever let go of our ideals. We must always be this shining example to the world. What a pile of hooey!
If I hear somebody breaking into my house in the middle of the night, I'm going to stand behind the door, in the dark, and whack the SOB over the head with a golf club. I am not going to turn on the lights, confront him, and say "Let's play fair. I've got my standards, after all."
All our ideals and all our standards won't be worth diddley if we cannot defeat these fanatics who spill blood just for the sheer joy of it. NEWSFLASH. Our Constitution won't be worth anything either.
What I want to hear from the nattering nabobs of nonsense on the Hill is that they're willing to do whatever is necessary to keep me safe. As long as they keep wringing their hands over whether or not it's okay to actually hurt someone, or even - God forbid! - make them uncomfortable, the jihadists will continue to view us with disdain. And, they'll keep coming, because they know we're not serious.
How much death and destruction will it take?
