The rats are deserting the sinking ship. When Hillary Clinton was "inevitable", everybody wanted to be on board The Good Ship Clinton, more for the political favors they hoped to obtain than for any love of her, I think. With a vindictive streak wider than her bottom line and an enemies' list longer than Pi, I would think that there were also those who did so out of fear.
Well, the hull has sprung some leaks and many have heeded the call to "abandon ship". The most recent being Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), who said that he could "never, ever do anything to reverse the action" of his constituents. Please! The only time elected officials even think about what the voters of their district care about is when the voters' interest intersect with their own, and then usually only at election time. Superdelegate Lewis also said that he plans to cast his vote for BO in the hopes of preventing a fight at the upcoming convention. Again, please. All this high-flying rhetoric is nothing more than a smokescreen, a cover for these people to do what they have probably wanted to do all along: dump Hillary.
If she's not going to win, what's to suck up to or fear?
