The Sorry, Sorry State of Journalism

Chris Matthews of MSNBC, who has veered hard left in the past couple of years, has become famous not for his journalistic skills (rightly so, considering that he's rude and unpleasant to those who don't toe the Leftist line) but for saying that listening to BO sent a "thrill" up his leg.  Recently, he said he was getting that "thrill" again thinking about BO attending the G-20 meeting in London.

Mr. Matthews recently attended the White House Correspondents Dinner and had this to say in response to a question about the "thrill":  "What he talked about when he was talking about my country.  That's what inspired me.  He speaks about my country in a way that makes me feel very good about him and my country.  And I hope it continues".

Since his inauguration, BO's comments in regard to this country have been all about apologizing for it.  I have yet to see anything he has said bragging about America, such as ending two world wars, rebuilding Japan and Germany, always being the first to respond in times of trouble, being a beacon of liberty throughout the world, feeding the world, taking the lead in the global war on terrorism, etc., etc., etc.

How very sad that what "thrills" Mr. Matthews is hearing his president blast America time and time and time again.  Worse yet, that he finds it inspiring, that it makes him feel good about his country, and that he hopes it continues.
