There are those of us who believe that the sun - that great big, gaseous ball of heat in the middle of our universe - is responsible for global warming and global cooling. We have been called deniers, and there are certain people who think we should be put on trial - Nuremberg style - for our heretical beliefs.
Now comes a study from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center which states that - based on climate data over the past century - solar variation has made a signficant impact on the Earth's climate. OMG!
When the sun is active, the earth warms. When the sun is inactive, the earth cools. Far from warming, our planet has actually been cooling since 1998, which corresponds to the fact that our sun has been extremely inactive during that period of time.
Popular support for "fixing" global warming is waning. More and more scientists are coming forward saying that anthropogenic global warming is a fraud. This study shows that it is.
Don't look, however, for those who intend to turn us into slaves to the state to stop their crusade. They are going to pass legislation, and they are going to lie to us about the costs of that legislation. The think that they can destroy the American economy without consequence to themselves.
They're certainly not the least bit interested in the consequences to us.
