Mega-gazillionaire Bill Gates was an Obama supporter. He contributed to Obama's campaign and as recently as December 2008, stated that he would be open to a position in the Obama administration.
Also in December 2008, he stated that: "We can't flinch during this downturn. If you look at the stock market, business activity or budget details, things are dark. But if you consider our capacities and our opportunities, our passion and vision, the outlook is bright".
Mr. Gates was also heard to say, "I think we should expand the number of people who are contributing to the economy and benefitting from it".
So why, last week, was this champion of America stating that if BO's tax increases became reality, he would move portions of Microsoft overseas to lessen its tax burden?
Now we're getting down to it, aren't we. "We can't flinch from this downturn"? Hey Bill, don't look now, but you just flinched. You wanted the government to expand spending, and not just domestically. But now here you are saying that you're not going to help pay for it. Isn't that the way of it.
By moving operations overseas, Mr. Gates will not only be reducing the number of people contributing to the economy, but increasing the number who won't be benefitting from it.
How do you spell hypocrite? I'm spelling it B-I-L-L-G-A-T-E-S.
