Oh Really

As you have probably heard by now, ABC - The All Barack Channel - is going to air a one-hour program from the White House next week on the upcoming plans to socialize health care.  And don't think for one minute that a single-payer system isn't in the works.  In fact, in his recent speech, Obama said that there were some countries where a single-payer system worked quite well.  Of course, this Freudian slip was subsequently expunged by the dutiful MSM, who hasn't yet lost its enchantment with The One.

Quite a furor has arisen over the fact that no ABC is not currently scheduling time for any kind of rebuttal.  Why is that, do you suppose?  Conservatives for Patients Rights, which advocates for a free-market solution, submitted an ad to ABC and is willing to pay for the air time.  ABC rejected that ad.

Why?

Because according to Emily Lenzner, spokesperson for ABC News, "The ABC Television network has a long-standing policy that we do not accept advocacy advertising.  It's just something that has been in place forever."  Is that right.

Then what's with all those campaign commercials we see every two years?  Are those not advocacy ads?
