Monica Conyers, member of the Detroit City Council and wife of Congressman John Conyers (D-MI), has pleaded guilty to bribery charges. It is reported that she took thousands of dollars in bribe money, as well as some $40,000 more in jewelry. She's facing prison time, although I doubt that she'll ever see the inside of a prison except as a guest. All those involved are careful to say that Congressman Conyers knew absolutely nothing about this.

Monica: "I've been working overtime at the City Council".
