Arlen Specter is facing a serious challenger in Rep. Joe Sestak (D) for his senate seat in 2010. Specter, one of those career politicians who thinks he has a right to his job for as long as he wants it, is unhappy about this. His campaign is seeking to question Sestak's democrat bona fides by pointing out that Sestak registered as an Independent in 1971 and didn't officially register as a democrat until 2006.
This from the man who has been a democrat for about 5 minutes, prior to which he was a Republican, prior to which he was a democrat.
Meanwhile, over at the Supreme Court, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (the one who always wears a bib) gave some insight into the mind of a liberal when she said: "I thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion."
So that's what was on the mind of the 5 justices who gave us Roe v. Wade, i.e., controlling the population of the undesirables, those lesser beings that "we don't want to have too many of". By all means, let's make sure that they have access to abortion.
For those who believe that this statement was taken out of context, what would be the proper context?
