A dimocrat assemblyman - what a shock - has introduced legislation to make marijuana legal in California and estimates that it will bring in $1.4 billion a year in income. Happy days are here again!
Let's say that an ounce of marijuana costs $20 on the street. (I know nothing about these things, but $20 is a nice round number.) If, however, I decide to buy legal marijuana, that same ounce is going to cost me $20, plus another $1.50 in sales tax, plus another $50 just because, for a total of $71.50.
So I ask you: Am I going to pay $20 for my marijuana or $71.50?
It really is quite sad that the caliber of our elected leaders has descended to such a level of complete and utter stupidity and incompetence.
