Barack Obama for saying that the Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in the recent incident with some professor from Harvard. Obama took a decidely racist stance, which was criticized immediately, which led to him saying, "I think I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department . . . I could've calibrated those words differently".
It's absolutely beyond me how the Cambridge Police Department could have gotten the impression that they were being maligned. Calibrated. Schmalibrated. The word "stupidly" should never have crossed his lips.
Being President of the United States is more than saying "I won" and flying all around the world apologizing for the country that made you Leader of the Free World. And on our dime, no less.
Far from being the partisan uniter he claimed to be, Obama is fanning the flames of partisanship and racism.
Madeleine Albright for claiming that Americans no longer have to be ashamed of their country. When they travel abroad, they no longer "have to say they're from Canada" . . We are on a better glide path to restoring our reputation and our leadership than we were for the previous eight years".
Really. Obama hasn't been able to get a single one of our allies to help us with anything. Even after bowing to the muslim dictator of Saudi Arabia and dissing Israel - our only real ally in the mid-East - he hasn't raised his standing in the muslim world at all. North Korea threatened to launch missiles our way on Independence Day. Canada is furious not only with our "Buy American" statement, but with the fact that they will have nowhere to go when Obama socializes our health care.
The truth of the matter is, these nations had better hope that Obama's agenda - socialized medicine, govenment take over of business, ever more and higher taxes, cap and tax - fails. It's our capitalism that's paying for their socialism. If we fall, they fall.
John Danforth who said, "I think the popularity of Barack Obama and the increased popularity of the United States are a function of a less assertive and more passive approach, particularly in dealing with terror".
Great, just great. Doing less to protect ourselves and, therefore, the world makes us more popular.
Talk about acting stupidly.
