For awhile now, the Left has seen fit to tell us that guns are flowing like lava from America to Mexico, as though we're somehow to blame for what's going on in that country.
Let's look at the numbers.
In testimony before Congress, William Hoover stated that Mexico submitted 11,000 guns to the ATF for tracing. Of that 11,000, 6,000 were successfully traced. Of those 6,000, 5,114 were found to have come from America. OMG! That's 85%!
Let's take a closer look.
According to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes, only 5,114 of which could be traced back to North America, i.e., 17%, which means that 83% came from somewhere else.
So, while it may be convenient to blame America for Mexico's problems - for which I'm sure Obama will duly apologize - once again we see how the Left spins the truth to spread its lies.
