Gun Control

The following has been sent to me several times, and I feel it is important to pass on:

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.  From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.  From 1929 to 1953, 20 million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

In 1935, China established gun control.  From 1949 to 1952, 20 million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

In 1956, Cambodia established gun control.  From 1975 to 1977, 1 million people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

In 1970, Uganda established gun control.  From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.

Total:  42.8 million

A few years back, Australia enacted an ambitious, expensive new law:  everyone had to turn in their guns, which were then subsequently destroyed.  It cost the Australians $500 million to completely disarm themselves.

Instead of the utopia the yahoos who formulated, enacted, and enforced this plan hoped for, crime has gone up.  Why? Because the criminals didn't turn in their guns and now, they have an unarmed populace to prey on.  What really boggles the mind is the concept that people who are too stupid to know this would happen are actually in charge of running a country.

It has been shown over and over again that the cities with the most restrictive gun laws have the most gun crime.  Criminals pray for such gun laws, while well-educated, overpaid morons scratch their heads and search for answers.

Right now, except for the union thugs who are being bussed in to harass law-abiding citizens at townhall meetings, the Second American Revolution is proceeding pretty orderly.  That will cease when the round up of our guns begins.

It could very well be that Obama has overplayed his hand, though.  Instead of a docile, adoring flock of sheep hanging on his every word, We the People have risen up and said we don't like what's going on.  Obama, completely unused to such a situation, is flailing wildly and failing spectacularly.  Of presidents in the modern era, only Clinton had a lower approval rating at this point in his presidency.

It could very well be that Obama won't be able to get his Civilian National Security Force, his own personal KGB, up and running in time to take away our guns.

Of course, things change.  But we can only hope.
