Dimocrats control congress. Just one of the many sad facts of life. What this means is that every congressional committee has more dimocrats than Republicans and the chair of every committee is a dimocrat. For all intents and purposes, dimocrats are calling all the shots.
One House committee is looking into the Countrywide scandal. The one where Countrywide was giving sweetheart deals and campaign cash to members of congress, who then looked the other way while the economy was crumbling.
Well, apparently, the Republicans on the committee are giving dimocrats heartburn. At one meeting of the committee, dimocrats were filmed exiting through a back entrance. At another, they simply locked the Republicans out of the room. Let that sink in for a moment. The House of Representatives of the United States of America: Republicans Not Welcome!
Is adolescent a big enough word to cover this? Outrageous?
We really shouldn't be surprised by these juvenile antics. After all, just look at what the White House is doing. Obama, you know, The One the whole world was waiting for, has picked a fight with Fox News. Recently, Obama said he wouldn't make one of his (unelected, unaccountable) czars available for press questioning if Fox was going to be there. To their credit, every other network said they wouldn't participate if Fox was excluded.
Let that sink in for a moment. The President of the United States, Leader of the Free World, stomped his well-shod foot and said Waaaaaaaaa. Fox News is mean to me, and I'm not going to let them play and I don't want any of the rest of you to let them play either. Waaaaaaa!
We are fighting two wars. Our economy is the worst in decades. Unemployment is climbing towards 10%. North Korea is a nuclear threat. Pakistan is a nuclear threat. Iran wants to be a nuclear threat. And we've got an irresponsible, inexperienced, immature slacker of a frat boy in the White House waging war against a network that has the temerity to not kiss his behind.
Reducing the stature of the Presidency of the United States bit-by-bit every day. Just one more thing we have to thank the democrats for.
