The Shackles of Government Health Care

The truly disgusting thing yesterday wasn't watching congress take the first step towards reinstituting slavery in America.  The truly disgusting thing was to watch dimocrat congressmen - those who had not written the bill, had not read the bill, and who had taken steps to protect themselves from the bill - stand there and proclaim how wonderful it is going to be. Never in history have we been lied to so blatantly.  Never in history have our elected officials demonstrated quite so clearly that they are completely and utterly without worth.

I am not one of those who extols health care in America.  I have watched friends die because of medical malpractice.  I speak out long and loud about the butchers in white coats who kill some 3,000+ people a week and then gripe about the high cost of malpractice insurance.

But yesterday, dimocrat morons took the first step toward making a bad system worse.  Government will determine what procedures doctors can do and what they will get paid.  Insurers will be shielded from the consequences of their decisions.  No MRI for you.  Brain tumor?  Death?  Shielded.  Why bother doing the right thing when there's no consequence for doing the wrong thing, especially when doing the wrong thing saves money.

Why bother going to medical school - incurring huge debt - when you're never going to be able to pay it back.  Ability is out, diversity is in.  We're not going to have the best health care providers, we're going to have the right "color" mix.

For the first time in the history of this once great nation, Americans can go to prison if they don't buy what the government tells them they have to buy.  Let that sink in a minute.  The truly insidious thing about this is that there's no way out.  Electric bill too high?  Cut back.  Grocery bill too high?  Cut back.  Gasoline bill too high?  Cut back.  Health insurance too high?  Too bad.  There is absolutely nothing you will be able to do about it and still live in America.

The government cannot do anything right.  Once the State has its claws in health care, there's nowhere to go but down.  Health care will get worse and worse, and the costs will go up and up.  And you will pay that price or you will go to prison.

Generations of Americans have fought and died for freedom.  All of their deaths have been in vain because we are no longer free.  We're slaves on the plantation formerly known as America.
