When FDR spoke those words, he was referring to December 7, 1941, and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He had no way of knowing that that date would again live in infamy, 68 years later.
It was on December 7, 2009, that the Obama administration shed all pretense and got down to what he is really all about: the destruction of the constitutional republic known as the United States of America. The new America he envisions will be a dictatorship, with him at the head and his handpicked coterie of czars announcing his edicts.
Oh, Roxanna, how can you say that? You must be crazy. No, I am not. It was on December 7, 2009, that the appointed head of the Environmental Protection Agency issued a ruling that will clear the way for it to regulate emissions of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide.
"Regulate" is defined as: to govern or direct according to rule; control; to bring under the control of law or authority.
Congress wasn't moving fast enough on cap and trade, so Obama just decided to rule by fiat. His EPA will simply make the laws in this regard. No Congress. No Constitution. See how easy that was. Don't forget about all those other unelected, unaccountable czars who have real power and who answer only to him. Whoever it was who said that he would be ready to "rule" from day one, knew exactly what he/she was talking about.
It was announced this morning that Obama's approval rating is down to 47% (only 1 point higher than Sarah Palin), which is the lowest of any president at this point in his presidency since the measuring of such things began. Thus the need to move quickly to cement his power so as to make it harder to remove him from that power.
By the way, my husband said he heard on Fox News that there would be no nativity scene at the White House this year. Thus ends the pretense that he's a Christian.
