The Sad Case of the American President

I used to think that John-I-Can't-Believe-I'm-Losing-To-This-Idiot-Kerry was the most pathetic man in politics, having replaced Al-I'll-Do-Anything-To-Win-Gore.

I have since reconsidered.

I now believe that the most pathetic man in politics is easily Barack Hussein Obama.  Instead of being America's biggest cheerleader, he has gone all around the world apologizing ad nauseam for the country that gave him everything.  What's to respect about that?

Where has his open-hand diplomacy gotten us with Iran?  Not only has Iran not shut down one of its 10 nuclear facilities, 9 of which we didn't even know about, it shot off its latest missile yesterday.  That's not an open hand from Iran, it's The Bird.

Saw on the news the other day that even Castro doesn't like BO anymore.

It was hugely embarrassing when BO gave Queen Elizabeth II an i-pod loaded with his speeches, after having given the legally-blind Gordon Brown a collection of DVDs that wouldn't even play on English players.

The Nobel Committee in Norway gave him a prize he doesn't deserve and then griped when he didn't jump through all their little hoops when he showed up to accept it.  What did they expect from a man who has amply demonstrated that he is the focal point of his every thought, word, and deed?

We heard yesterday that he has written a personal letter to the bubblehead in North Korea, saying basically, "Please, pretty please, come back to the negotiating table".

Now we're hearing on health care that congress must, must pass a bill because not to do so would be a loss for the man now claiming it as his signature issue.  Please, please give me a health care bill, any bill I can sign.  If we don't reform health care now, we never will.  If we don't reform health care now, America will go broke.  How pathetic is that?

It's too scary to contemplate that The Delusional Mr. O. actually thought that he could stride across the world stage, calming all the fears, fixing all the wrongs, with nothing more than his rhetorical skills and personal charm.  Did he really think that he had but to speak and all would be well?

It's sure beginning to look that way as he flails his way from one disaster to another.
