I have just read on the Drudge Report that Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) was bribed/threatened/coerced into supporting the government's takeover of the health care system. And it is a government takeover even without a public option.
There's talk that BO threatened to close down a military base in Nebraska if Mr. Nelson did not get in line. If this is true, it's despicable. Of course, the Thug-in-Chief cares about nothing except getting what he wants. Stepping over the bodies of those who get in his way is nothing new for him.
We are going to be told that this "achievement" ranks right up there with Social Security and Medicare. No mention will be made of the fact that congress has been robbing Social Security for decades, and it is going to rob Medicare to pay for this.
Congress destroys pretty much everything it touches. Think this will be any different?
