America has begun its descent into anarchy, chaos, and oblivion.
Exhibit 'A': The Constitution provides that ALL bills for the raising of revenue must ORIGINATE in the House of Representatives. "Originate" is defined as: 1. to give rise to; initiate; 2. to come into existence; begin. If the Senate health care bill contains one provision for the raising of revenue, it is unconstitutional. It is not sufficient if it be reconciled with the House bill, or if the House simply adopts the Senate bill. A bill that calls for the raising of revenue is unconstitutional if not originated in the House. Of course, we all know that such plain language can be completely ignored by a federal judge intent on making a name for him/herself, and that the original intent of our Founding Fathers can be disregarded by pages and pages of legalese.
Exhibit 'B': Obama cannot unilaterally bind America to anything that comes out of the farce in Copenhagen. A democrat senator - Jim Webb of Virginia - has already told him that the Constitution provides that any treaty, to be effective, must be ratified by two-thirds of the Senate. Mr. O's response was that if congress didn't give him the "right" bill, he would start implementing climate change legislation by fiat through the EPA, and it wasn't going to be pretty.
Think these are little things? Nothing more than a question of "depends on what the meaning of 'is' is? Here's where they're leading.
Exhibit 'C': Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL) is annoyed with a woman who has started a website, directed at him, entitled "mycongressmanis nuts.com". What did he do? He wrote to the Attorney General of the United States and requested that she be "fined and imprisoned for 5 years". No trial. No due process. That pesky little Fifth Amendment is such a bother. It saves so much time and money to just throw people in jail that it's actually a favor to the taxpayers to do so. Obviously, Mr. Grayson has some real anger management issues, but he wrote the letter, which indicates his mindset.
So much for the Constitution these people swore to protect and defend.
