He's Falling, He's Falling

When Obama took office 11 months ago (it just seems longer), his Rasmussen rating was +30%.

Rasmussen arrives at this number by calculating the percentage of those who strongly approve, those who strongly disapprove, and subtracting the smaller number from the bigger number.  Thus, if the strongly approve is 50% and the strongly disapprove is 20%, then the number is +30%.  If, on the other hand, the strongly approve is 20% and the strongly disapprove is 50%, then the number is -30%.

And that's where Obama finds himself today:  25% strongly approve, 46% strongly disapprove, giving him an approval rating of -21%, a not unsubstantial drop of 51%.

After 8 years in office and relentless pounding from the MSM, George W. Bush left office with a 43% strongly disapprove rating.  It took Obama only 11 months, with a glowing press, to reach the same point.

According to Rasmussen, the overall percentage of those who disapprove of the job Obama is doing is 56%.
