or the Dark Ages as the liberals like to call it, congress passed tax cuts. And, as is usually the case with tax cuts, revenue increased. However, the only way Republicans could get democrats to vote for these tax cuts was to include a sunset date.
Now that that sunset date is fast approaching and we're mired in bad economic times, democrats simply cannot wait to extend the tax cuts they never wanted in the first place, and if they don't pass an extension of the tax cuts they never wanted in the first place, they're going to call it a "Republican tax increase". How pathetic and dishonest is that.
Facing a revolt in November, they apparently have no desire to add tax increase to their long list of "accomplishments".
