Obama will return from his India-Indonesia-Asian trip empty-handed, except for whatever his shopaholic wife bought. No free-trade treaty with South Korea, which might kill the chances of other such treaties. While trying to convince other countries to quit playing with the value of their currencies, Ben Bernanke was over here printing more money and thus lowering the value of our own currency. And, he couldn't convince other countries to do what he's doing, i.e., stimulus, stimulus, stimulus. In other words, other countries aren't interested in increasing their debt.
Barack Obama has raised bashing and apologizing for America to an art form. He never fails to mention that we did things we shouldn't have. He bows in submission at every opportunity. He says that America is no more exceptional that any other nation. So, why would he expect other countries to do what he says?
If America is nothing special, then neither is its leader. (How could the world's most brilliant man not see this one coming.)
I know he's only at the halfway point of his one (and, God willing, only) term, but how is this man going to "restore" our standing in the world?
