Losers of the Week

Councilman Michael Wolfensohn of New Castle, New York, who, upon discovering two young boys had set up a stand to sell cookies and such, immediately called the police to report that they were operating their stand without a permit, which typically requires a fee of $150.00 every two hours AND a $1 million certificate of insurance.

Well done, Mr. Wolfensohn.  You sure showed them, didn't you.

Jay Rockefeller
(D-WV) for saying, "There's a little bug inside of me which wants to get the FCC to say to Fox and to MSNBC, 'Out.  Off.  End.  Goodbye.  It would be a big favor to political discourse; to our ability to do our work here in Congress; and to the American people, to be able to talk with each other and have some faith in their government and, more importantly, in their future."

Hey Comrade!  We are all deeply aware that you would like to get rid of the people's means of learning what you guys are up to.  We know how much better you would like it if you could just keep us in the dark and not have to explain yourself.  But there's this pesky little thing known as the Constitution that gives us free speech and freedom of the press.  Read it sometime.

Barbara Boxer (D-CA) for comparing America, unfavorably (no surprise there) to Iran, North Korea, and Pakistan because we don't allow gays in the military.

Firstly, Call-Me-Senator Boxer is incorrect.  We allow gays in the military.  We just make them decide which is more important:  serving their country or talking about their social life.

Secondly,  Miz Boxer, who is as removed from reality as is possible without being completely nuts, doesn't understand the function of the military.  Back in the day, she was one of the ones pushing for women fighter pilots, which resulted in women who were not qualified flying multi-million dollar fighter jets, which resulted in the death of Kara Hultgren.

Listen up, Babs!  The purpose of the military is to protect and defend us.  It is not a testing ground for the touchy-feely, PC garbage lefties like you think is so important.

Barack Obama, who embarrassed us once again on foreign soil.  While in Portugal to talk about, among other things, global warming, the Man-Who-Would-Be-King rode around in "The Beast," an 8-ton, diesel-powered limousine, plus an entourage of Secret Service vehicles AND 35 Portuguese police motorcycles.  Meanwhile, everyone else rode around in small, electric-powered cars.

"The Beast" has Kevlar tires, special foam in the gas tank to immediately extinguish fire in the event of direct hit, as well as a supply of presidential blood.

And, shades of Saddam Hussein, Obama didn't let anyone know where he was going to spend the night, just in case somebody got an idea.
