Unbelievable

Bolivia has just passed The Law of Mother Earth," which gives our planet specific "rights," including "the right to life and to exist."  I would presume that at some point in time, water's right to life is going to intersect with peoples' right to life . . . and water is going to lose.  I would also presume that at some point in time, an animal's right to life is going to intersect with people's right to life . . . and the animal is going to lose.  Vegetarian you say?  Vegetables have the right to life, too.

But, never fear, the law has made provision for that.  Water and animals and vegetables are just a little less equal than humans.  So are the trees and other items that will be necessary for building, and the minerals that are mined to provide revenue.

I'm sure your first thought is, "How stupid can you get."  Don't fret, all will be made clear shortly.

The law establishes a "Ministry of Mother Earth," which provides the planet with an "ombudsman whose job is to hear nature's complaints as voiced by activist and other groups, including the state."

In other words, it's BS wrapped up in a pretty ribbon.

Maybe all the environmental activists who have done such harm in this country will want to move to Bolivia, where they've just been given carte blanche to run amok . . . until they run afoul of the state, that is.
