Osama bin Laden is dead and is beginning the warm eternity he so richly deserves. Apparently, Hitler also died on May 1. Perhaps they've already met up and are exchanging notes.
Although this happened on Obama's watch, credit is due President Bush and the programs he put in place - routinely and exhaustively trashed by the left. These are: secret CIA camps, Gitmo, and waterboarding. Without these, Osama would still be running around free.
And, of course, credit is due to the Navy Seals who actually did the deed and all others who helped bring this moment about.
The person least deserving of praise is Barack Obama, who just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I'm sure he's more than a little miffed that this happened now and not next year when it would have been a real boost to his re-election campaign, but the stars aligned now, and he had to take the shot.
Thanks to a lot of people who worked tirelessly, an evil man who contributed nothing to the world except death and destruction is gone and we are all better for it.
