It would seem that Tim Geithner and Barack Obama are not on the best of terms lately. How else to explain Geithner's economic comment yesterday on Meet the Press that for a lot of people "it's going to feel very hard, harder than anything they've experienced in their lifetime now, for a long time to come."
Obama claims that all the bad news we're hearing are nothing more than "bumps in the road." DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz claims that democrats "own" the economy and turned it around. (Too bad she was referring to a U-turn.)
Now comes Geithner making liars out of both of them, saying that things are going to be bad for a long time to come. Heckuva campaign slogan.
