If under the definition of "hypocrite" in the dictionary it doesn't say "see democrat", it really should. The hypocrisy of the democrats under Obama is so blatant that only the most stupid among us can't see it.
Apparently, the president can make what is called "recess" appointments during the period of time that the senate is in recess. This allows him to avoid the "advice and consent" portion of the Constitution. During the time that George W. Bush was president, Harry Reid spent a great deal of time keeping the senate in "pro forma session", i.e., not really in session but not really in recess, in order to prevent Bush from making recess appointments. Also apparently, it is generally understood that the senate is not considered in recess unless it doesn't "gavel in, gavel out" in 3 days.
Well, Obama is in no mood for the Constitution. While the senate was not in recess, he made recess appointments. And here's the kicker. Recess appointments get to serve, without senate confirmation, for a specified period of time. Because of the date on which Obama made these appointments, these people are going to get to serve through 2013.
Recently, the Republicans blocked salaries for 4 of Obama's so-called czars (appointed, not confirmed), to which he said that the Republicans were blocking him from fulfilling his constitutional duty as president by preventing him from having advisors. What a crock. Nominate them and let them go through the confirmation process.
As you can see, Obama picks up the Constitution when it suits him and ignores it when it doesn't. Those of us who were paying attention in 2008 aren't the least bit surprised. Obama doesn't want to be president, he wants to be king/dictator. It wasn't all that long ago that he said he could get much more done if only he didn't have to be bothered with congress. During the Bush presidency, the left was all abuzz about how "imperial" he was. Bush has nothing on Obama in that department.
If he is re-elected, he will only become more determined to do what he wants, when he wants. And the democrats who excoriated Bush for much less, will only applaud him.
