As a Protestant, I have never had any use for the Catholic church's concept that women cannot use artificial birth control. Same goes for having to wear a hat to church and not being able to eat meat on Friday, and the totally laughable idea that fish isn't meat. As far as I was concerned, these were artificial constructs created by man and having nothing to do with the Bible.
However, these are the rules of the Catholic church. If you're a Catholic, you should obey them.
Enter Nancy Pelosi and Rosa DeLauro, both of whom claim to be committed Catholics and both of whom have no problem with Obama's new rule about forcing religious employers to pay for contraceptive care. Both of these women are also committed to embryonic stem cell research and abortion on demand, up to and including the moment of birth.
Catholicism and artificial contraception are mutually exclusive. One cannot be a committed Catholic and favor artificial contraception. What these women need to do is convert to a Protestant religion that doesn't have the same proscription against artificial birth control.
Seems to be that both of them could pretend to be a Protestant as well as they pretend to be Catholic.
